sweat June  28th, our 3rd Annual bFIT4Lifers Run 4U 5K was held at the Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ. The buz has been out for a few months as we marketed this event  believing for a great participation. This years event  has showed tremendous growth from year 1 and doubled from year 2. Lots of hard work and prayers showed forth a great harvest of participation.  We are grateful for all of our 125 participants who supported us this year.  A far reach from our first year of 18 participants.  Run 4U is finding it’s niche in the communities heart by drawing 1st time 5kers and drawing a following from many returning participants.

Team Support

The 3rd Annual has grown in team support.  This year we has many teams competing for the ‘Largest Team Trophy Award.’ Many community running groups showed up such as returning team 2nd Annual winners FIT4Mom Stroller Strides of Cherry Hill, NJ , Spinlates Wellness, Latinas in Motion, Cardinal Health and Friends Forever and our 3rd Annual Team winners Team S.W.E.A.T.T.  The S.W.E.A.T.T. had a group of 26 participants.  We loved the commoririty and the TEAM Spirit that the teams displayed.

Our Health and FIT Expo Vendors

The vendors that displayed for our Health and FIT EXPO were great!  The Expo is one of the easiest part of the Race Day event to plan and market.  The vendors came from all over to offer there products and services.  This year the EXPO has a great variety.  From food to make-up, housewares to fitness services.  Rite Aide was also on display to perform health screenings.

GNC, TASTEFULLY SIMPLE, Rite Aide and Head2Headbands

Sponsor Support

We are delighted by the many sponsorships and partnership involvement in our event.  This years title sponsors Reiff & Biley Attorney’s at Law in Philadelphia returned to show support again.  A new title sponsor, Agent Dan Miller of State Farm showed great love and devotion to our cause.  We also welcome new our race tee sponsors are my Coach and Trainer, IFBB Pro Sheena Ohling of Grindhouse Fitness, Parkside Business and Community Partnership, Fayers Market, Amino Juice and Road Runner Sports of Cherry Hill, NJ.  We’re  grateful for our returning race tee sponsors; Victoy Outreach Camden Church, Zone2btoned, Integrity Painting Services and Walmart.

The Race

It was great to see the runners and walkers enjoy such a great race event. It is always  a joy to see our young participants run their little hearts out. We had many 1st 5K runners join us and what a privilege it was that they choose our event to do their 1st 5k .     Our 1st finisher was male, Omar  Abdelhamid,  with a finishing time of 18:33 just a little under 17:32 for the 2nd Annual top finisher’s time.    Our Eldest Participant, 73 Sue Levy.   We received great feedback from many participants that they enjoyed the event, that it was well organized and fun. One of the hightlights for this years event was the bFIT Photo Booth.  And we added awards for 2nd place male and female finisher. The race has grown and we are blessed and overwhelmed by the love and support for our cause.

Here is a runner we ran into at the Broad Street Run Expo.  He received one of our flyers. From a 10 miler to our 5K, Matt Rudomin choose Run4U!!! How cool is that?

Race Highlights

The highlight for me at the event was seeing my hub and son with Cerebral Palsy participate. He was inspired in 2013 by the Fit4Mom Stroller Stride team  for there strength and endurance to complete the race. photo 3 (1) PARTICIPANTS WHAT WOULD YOU SAY THE HIGHLIGHT OF THIS EVENT FOR YOU WAS?
