February 18th,  I completed week one of my half marathon training for the 9th Annual Christian Care Healthcare System. I headed out for a 3mile run.  The weather was great and I didn’t layer up too much.

I look forward to completing my first week strong and fulfilling my 9.5 miles. I heading out to the Sterling High School Track.  As I got to the track I did a .25 mile warm up run.  As I went around  the track, I stumbled upon lots of poop.  The track was covered with poop.  I began to wonder if there was a sewer that had overflowed some where.  I didn’t understand why there was so much crap on the track.  Did it all come from a stray animal?  After making my way around for the second time and heading into my sprint intervals.  I felt like I could not keep my focus because I had to dodge poop.  The poop only covered 50% of the track and I didn’t just want to do intervals on the straight away.  I wanted to take advanage of the entire track.

After seeing so much crap, it gave me the urge to want  to go poo poo.  I gave up!  I took my run to the street, so I left the track. I felt that the weather was too good not to get this run in, so I focused myself to finish strong.  I saw so many peeps out running and it helped keep me motivated.

After making one loop,  in the neighboorhood, I only completed 2.75 of a run.  All in all I was still proud of myself for getting her done and being consistant in my training.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A CRAPPY RUN?  COULD NOT FOCUS, YOUR PACE WAS OFF OR COULDN’T FIND YOUR RHYTHM?
