Nobody is perfect with eating and exercise.  Everyone slips up even trainers and coaches such as myself.  Maybe there is a need to read something that will help get everyone back on track. Here are some healthy commandments that I  discovered and as a bFIT4Lifer have embraced throughout my fat loss lifestyle journey.  I have added my personal notes of explaination after each one and they are in italicized font.

The 10 Healthy Commandments:

.)  Thou shall not let others effect my health and well-being. It is always great to have people in your corner that are going to support you in your fat loss lifestyle journey. There are also going to be those who will try to hinder you from living a fatloss lifestyle, in addition the enviornment in which we live constantly  dictates to us what we should eat.

.)  Thou shall not look in the mirror and judge myself harshly, instead I will look in the mirror and say positive things to myself daily to form the habit. I awake daily to a picture that was taken of me during a transtional and pivital time in my fatloss journey.  This is a display of my beauty, happiness and how I want to feel for the rest of my life about myself. This is a motivational image of who I am. Ps. 139:14  “I am fearfully and wonderfully made….”  The word of the Lord is a mirror to us.  It speaks positive reflections to us when we can’t see them ourselves. This is one of the most beautiful pictures I have every taken and it captures how I feel everyday since starting my bFIT journey.  I wish I had that hair today. 🙂

.)  Thou shall not ever use the word “can’t”, I will replace it with “in the future I will”.  The word of God says, “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who [g]infuses inner strength into me; I am [h]self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency] Philippians 4:13 WE CAN DO THAT VERY THING THAT WE THINK IS TOO HARD! YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU THINK! JUST DO IT!

.)  Thou shall not continue to damage my body by ingesting processed food chemicals and fast food.  I will heal my body with natural foods from the earth.  I was blessed when the LORD revealed to me Genesis 1:29, “Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. ”  This is were I started to learn to eat clean foods, cutting out processed foods that would be harmful for me. I eat some processed food and these are usually on reward days ONLY.  Remember we have the ability to make ourselves sick or make ourselves healthy.  Make wise food choices today.

.)  Thou shall not judge others weaknesses, instead I will help to motivate and inspire others to get healthier. This is where the Lord blessed me with the ministry of bFIT4Life and my desire and mission is to inspire others to reach optimual health, and inner strength. “Get FIT, Stay FIT bFIT4Life.” is our new mato. I have a passion to help others that want to live a strong healthy life and reach their FIT goals.  I have a passion to help the anyone that struggles with obesity.

.)  Thou shall not drink pop or artificially sweetened drinks.  I will work towards reducing and eliminating them from my diet because they are toxic to my body. We do not care for soda and we stick to clean beverages of choice such as water, skinny water, sobe Life water, coconut waters just a to name a few.  Have you seen the effect soda and what it can do to the body? Check out this video on soda to see it health disadvantages.

.)  Thou shall not cheat myself.  I will not use excuses for why I continue my unhealthy habits, instead I will use my mind/body connection and become a stronger person.  Instead of using excuses I started setting goals. This is what has helped me become a stronger, happier, healthier individual.

.)  Thou shall not let my emotions get the best of me.  I will confront my issues from my past and present that have lead to my unhealthy habits. The word of the Lord, Eph. 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”.  I had to really allow the word of God to become internalized and  do some internal cleansing.  I had to make an exchange so that my new habits for food showed forth in my physical life.  As I began to use the word to help me fight cravings and emotional ups and downs.  I began to win the battle in my mind.  I have recently learn that, ” Hunger is felt in the stomach and cravings are in the mind.”  – ME .  That is why it is so important keep your mind focused.

.)  Thou shall not be discouraged when I don’t see quick results.  Many years of unhealthy habits can’t be undone in a week.  I will keep in mind that it takes more than 2 weeks of consistency to begin a new healthy habit.  I won’t give up.  I ‘ve learned through the years of yo-yo dieting, fad diets and wanting a quick fix that anything, that come easy is not worth it.  I have enjoyed the slow fat loss journey that I am on because it allows me reference points to look back on and these have given me motivation to keep striving ahead. I am still content and striving to reach my best physique this year.

.)  Thou shall pray daily for strength, confidence, and motivation to stay healthy. The Lord has blessed me with a ton of what I call my fighting scripts.  Promises from His word that keeps me motivated and inspires to live a FIT life for his use.  For I will restore health to you, & your wounds I will heal. -Jeremiah 30.17
